New Balance | Auckland

A cohesive and functional new workspace for the New Balance team.

Location: Auckland | Size: 465m²

Aspect recently had the opportunity to work with New Balance on their office relocation project in Auckland CBD. The New Balance team moved from a long and narrow office space to a modern open-plan environment spanning 465 square meters.

This required careful consideration of furniture design and functionality to ensure optimal use of space, while incorporating New Balance's brand identity and work culture.

The collaborative design process played a crucial role in the success of the project. Aspect closely collaborated with the New Balance team, engaging in a productive dialogue to understand their specific needs and preferences. This cooperative approach ensured that the new office design seamlessly integrated with New Balance's brand image and the way their employees worked. It allowed for the smooth integration of design elements and furniture, resulting in a harmonious workspace.

Furniture pieces were thoughtfully selected to meet both the functional and aesthetic requirements of New Balance. For the open-plan workspace, back-to-back Activate workstations were utilised to encourage collaboration among team members. The addition of Strata screens provided a balance of openness and privacy, while enclosed single offices features Activate workstations with modesty panels to create a conducive environment for focused work.

To promote a clutter-free workspace and enhance ergonomics and organisation, workstations were equipped with Reach monitor arms and WorkTotes.

Aspect's Sector 2 leaners and wall-mounted meeting tables feature in various meeting spaces, providing comfortable and functional settings for discussions, presentations, and brainstorming sessions.

In the break-out area, Drift seating and Agility pedestal tables offer comfortable casual booth settings.

The modern interior with timber and concrete accents guided the careful selection of black, white, and light grey furniture finishes. This colour palette not only complements the New Balance branding but also creates a cohesive and visually appealing workspace that exudes a contemporary sports-luxe aesthetic.
