Australian Unity | Melbourne
Smarter storage for a flexible workspace.
Location: Melbourne | Size: 12,000m²
A mutual society that traces its origins back to Melbourne in 1840 and has subsequently grown alongside the city, Australian Unity identified a new home in 271 Spring Street – a building located in one of Melbourne’s most historically rich precincts.
Working with Bates Smart and Probuild to create a highly flexible workplace centred around agility and technology, Aspect were engaged to provide an intelligent storage solution that would markedly decrease the need for per-employee storage at individually assigned workpoints. Enter our Smartalock locker system, which brings brilliantly intuitive features into a beautifully simple design.
In supplying a system of 1,400 lockers over multiple floors for the Australian Unity tenancy, we were able to provide a highly user-friendly and customised solution for their challenge of providing storage for over 1,000 staff. In place of a restrictive lock-and-key system, users swiftly access their lockers via smartphone, swipe card, or a touchscreen.
Rather than limiting Smartalock to the workspaces, Australian Unity also opted to incorporate the system into their end-of-trip facilities to enhance the flexibility of the building facilities. Following on from project completion, ongoing technical support has been provided for unwavering peace of mind.
